Hawd al-Kawthar β The Fountain of Mercy on the Day of Greatest Thirst. Will you be able to drink from this Muhammad's water?
π§β¨
My guess is, no
Because it will be only for the best Muslims
There will not second chances after the wordly life
To be given right to drink from it
On the Day of Judgment, when the thirst of people will be greatest, when the sun will draw near and everyone will seek shelter from the scorching heat, there will be only one place where believers can refresh themselves β Hawd al-Kawthar, the fountain of the Prophet Muhammad (ο·Ί). πΏποΈ
πΉ "My followers will come to me at the Hawd and will drink from my hands. Whoever drinks will never feel thirst again." (Sahih Muslim 2290)
Those who have firmly followed his teachings, will drink directly from his hands, from water whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. π₯€π
But not everyone will receive this gift⦠Some will be driven away by angels, because they have turned away from the true teachings of Islam. When the Prophet (ﷺ) asks why, he will be told:
"You do not know what they did after you..."
π A question for all of us: Will we be among those who drink? Or among those who will face only endless thirst?
π Let us follow the Sunnah, maintain a pure faith, and strive to be among those whom the Prophet (ο·Ί) welcomes at the Hawd. π€²π

Will you fill your cup from Al-Kawthar? ποΈβ¨
On the day when everything is divided into truth and falsehood, Hawd al-Kawthar β the fountain of the Prophet Muhammad (ο·Ί) β will be the place where the chosen will drink from water clearer than crystal. This water is sweeter than honey, whiter than milk, and more fragrant than musk. πΏπ§
However, not everyone will get the opportunity to drink from it...
The Prophet (ο·Ί) said:
"Some people from my Ummah will come to me, but they will be driven away from me. I will say: 'O my Lord, my followers!' And it will be said to me: 'You do not know what they did after you...'" (Sahih al-Bukhari 7050, Muslim 2290)
β Who will be driven away?
πΈ Those who deviated from the Prophetβs path.
πΈ Those who introduced innovations (bidβah) that distorted Islam.
πΈ Those who abandoned the faith or acted hypocritically.
πΈ Those who were unjust to the Ummah.
β
Who will drink?
πΉ Those who followed the Sunnah of the Prophet (ο·Ί).
πΉ Those who were patient and steadfast in their faith.
πΉ Those who kept their hearts pure.
π A question for reflection: If you stood today by the fountain of Al-Kawthar, would you be granted a sip of this blessed water? Or would you be driven away?

Hawd (ΨΩΨΆ) in Islam means a fountain or reservoir that will belong to the Prophet Muhammad (ο·Ί) on the Day of Resurrection. This fountain is also called Hawd al-Kawthar, because it is connected to the river Al-Kawthar in Paradise, which Allah granted to the Prophet (ο·Ί) as a reward.
Description of the Hawd in Hadiths
πΉ Size: It is so enormous that its length and width are like the distance of a month's journey.

"You do not know what they did after you."
(That is, they deviated from his teachings, introduced innovations, or abandoned Islam.)

Hawd al-Kawthar β The Fountain of Inexpressible Depth and Beauty π§β¨
Hawd al-Kawthar is the most bountiful fountain in Paradise, given to the Prophet Muhammad (ο·Ί) as a symbol of abundance and God's mercy. A whole surah is even dedicated to it β Surah Al-Kawthar (108), where Allah says:
π "Indeed, We have granted you Al-Kawthar."
π Inexpressible Depth β 70,000 miles?
According to the interpretation of Ibn Abbas (ra), Al-Kawthar is a river in Paradise, one of whose banks is of gold and the other of silver. This river flows over emeralds and pearls, with its water being whiter than snow and sweeter than honey. πποΈ
πΉ The depth of Hawd al-Kawthar is allegedly 70,000 miles!
πΉ No ocean on Earth possesses such depth.
πΉ Earth's diameter is approximately 40,000 km (28,000 miles), but the depth of the Hawd is far greater!
π₯ That means its depth cannot be measured by conventional means β it is an endless blessing and inexhaustible abundance granted by Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (ο·Ί).
π Thirst on the Day of Judgment β Kawthar as the Only Refreshment
On the Day of Judgment, the sun will be directly above people's heads, the heat will be unbearable, and everyone will be desperately thirsty. βοΈπ₯΅
πΈ Brains will boil from the heat.
πΈ Sweat will stream down bodies, and people will almost perish from thirst.
πΈ Everyone will strive to get close to the Prophet (ο·Ί) and drink from his Hawd.
The Prophet (ο·Ί) said:
"Whoever drinks from this water will never feel thirst again."* (Sahih Muslim 2290)*
π Pearls and the Divine Splendor of Hawd al-Kawthar
In the Hawd, pearls sparkle and its cups are more numerous than the stars in the sky. πβ¨
ποΈ It flows over emeralds and gemstones.
π The water is as clear as pearls.
πΏ It is illuminated by a light that is not of this world.
π€² Will we be among those who will drink?
Hawd al-Kawthar is only a part of the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon the Prophet (ο·Ί). If this is just a part, imagine the endless rewards of Paradise!
π A question for reflection:
If we stood today by Hawd al-Kawthar, would we be among those who drink? Or would we be driven away?
πΏ May Allah grant us the honor to drink from the hands of the Prophet (ο·Ί) on the Day of Greatest Thirst. π€²π
How will the Prophet (ο·Ί) recognize who is eligible to drink from Hawd al-Kawthar?
On the Day of Judgment, Prophet Muhammad (ο·Ί) will recognize his true followers and allow them to drink from Hawd al-Kawthar, his blessed fountain. But how will he distinguish the righteous believers from those who have strayed?
πΉ The believers will shine due to their ablution (wudu).
πΉ Those who have deviated from the path will be separated by a barrier.
1οΈβ£ The Light of Wudu β A Sign of the Prophetβs Ummah π
One of the most significant signs of true believers will be the radiant glow on their faces, hands, and feet as a result of their ablution (wudu).
π The Prophet (ο·Ί) said:
"My Ummah will be called on the Day of Judgment with radiant faces, hands, and feet, owing to the marks of ablution (wudu). So whoever is able, should enhance their radiance."
π (Sahih al-Bukhari 136, Sahih Muslim 246)
β‘οΈ This means that those who regularly perform wudu will shine with a divine light, making it easy for the Prophet (ο·Ί) to recognize them.
π In another hadith it is mentioned:
"I will recognize them by the traces of their ablution, which no other nation possesses."
π (Sahih Muslim 249)
π Therefore, wudu is not only about physical cleanliness, but also a spiritual mark that will distinguish the true followers of the Prophet (ο·Ί) on that day.
2οΈβ£ A Barrier for Stray Horses β The Deviants Will Be Stopped π§
While the Prophet (ο·Ί) will recognize the believers, some people will try to approach the fountain, but they will be halted. These are individuals who were once part of the Ummah but later strayed from the true path.
π The Prophet (ο·Ί) said:
"Some people from my Ummah will be taken away from my Hawd. I will say: 'O my Lord, my companions!' And a voice will answer: 'You do not know what they introduced after you.'"
π (Sahih al-Bukhari 7050, Sahih Muslim 2290)
π Another hadith compares them to stray horses:
"I will drive away some people from my Hawd just as a man drives stray horses away from his water trough."
π (Sahih Muslim 2304)
β‘οΈ This means that even if some people consider themselves part of the Ummah, they will be denied access, because after the Prophetβs time they altered the teachings of Islam.
π₯ Key Takeaways
1οΈβ£ The Prophet (ο·Ί) will recognize his true followers by their radiant faces, hands, and feet due to wudu. π
2οΈβ£ Those who altered Islam after him will be halted by a barrier, much like stray horses driven away from the fountain. π§
3οΈβ£ Laylatul Qadr and sincere devotion bolster our journey towards this reward β to drink from the fountain means eternal relief from thirst!
π‘ Let us ensure that we are among those who shine due to wudu and adhere to the Prophet's teachings without deviation, so that we may be welcomed at the blessed fountain. π€²β¨
